09/02/2009 Still Slack? Still Nope.com

I guess I can (grudgingly see) how you can think we're slack. But then I realise that I am right and you're wrong. Since our last update in Dec, we've received our sample 2009 boards, including our reverse camber (RC) banana/"smile" boards. I am actually shocked at how good they look.

We've added a rep in Fiss, Austria, who'll be launching Heresy into Austria at a launch/enviro fundraiser. There'll be more details on this soon.

I've also been busy collecting environmental links and information to put up, as well as backing up an article I am writing for the ski/board press. Again more detail on this soon.

It's a funny thing, I always have "more detail to come". Heresy is either very busy or just very disorganised. Actually, it's both.

23/12/2008 Slack? Nope.com
So, everyone thinks we're slack. Ummm, no. We've been busy organising more reps (hello, Austria) and doing more awesome stuff, like starting another IT business to help business save money and lower their carbon emissions. In between, we have managed a product drop (I'm wearing a new one RIGHT NOW). 4 new designs - 'Shark/Amaze', 'Heresy, J'adore!' (!), Roots and I am. You can go check this out on our blog - this stuff will be on our store in the next 72 hours. Stay tuned for more news, good lord we have a lot of news. New boards arriving next week. Snap!

07/12/2008 50%-off sale
Everyone's pretty bummed with the world at the moment. So we decided to lay on a stealthy 12 hour Christmas sale. For you Euro-zone folk, this works out to be like 75% off with the Euro-AUD conversion. The start times are on our front page, and this sale applies to web-only sales, and to all stock except boards and our anti-whaling range. If you want one of our last remaining 2008 boards (48/53 Guilds, and 48/59 Mirror Twin White), drop us a line.

21/11/2008 09 boards...shock ensues
More action for causes we believe in. Our 2009 boards save sharks and save the planet. Or try to (well we're not perfect). The Heresy Blog has the image-y goodness and specs. Go check them out, they're seriously, SERIOUSLY, good. Whaaaaat? Snowboard art that means something and is actually artistic? SHOCK, HORROR!

Serious props go Messy Design on the Shark; Jase and his crew have some serious chops and have done some incredible work for us on this. Jase, I want to hug you. Sharks do too. So thanks. Kat @ TeamKitten has freaked us out a little with the We Love...board...Thanks Kat. Go check them out people! Buy one of these boards and 6% of the profits are going to save sharks and the world at large, meaning you can smile and shred.

03/11/2008 We join 1% For the Planet
So. We talk big on environmental action. We also act big. Our membership commits 1% of all our sales (that's minimum, by the way) to Greening Australia through our membership of 1% For the Planet. We're super excited about this. Super. We're already at 4%, so you can see we're all about talk and action. So now when you support us, you're supporting sweatshop free labour, environmental action and sustainable snowboarding. Go check out 1% For the Planet and read more.

22/09/2008 3degrees fundraiser news
A big thanks to everyone from our Falls crew who turned up to the 3degrees fundraiser, and a big thanks to all the people who stumbled upon the night and came in to support.

We raised $500 from this night, which has already been used to abate nearly 17 tonnes of carbon. This equates to:
- 5 return flights to Vancouver from Melbourne; or
- 8 return flights from Melbourne to Japan; or
- 8 return flights from New York to Zurich; or
- 68 return flights from London to Zurich
That's a lot of snow-bound flying sunk.

We're so grateful to everyone who helped including Brett, Packy and the WA crew, Matty Hull from themattimage.com for photos, everyone who turned up, Dan and Jo for doing merch and entry, Michael for doing not much except drinking Coronas and Tommy for Djing the hell out of it. Seriously, ending the night with Whitney Houston was a stroke of genius.

Our biggest thanks goes to PeaCe and the crew at Silverski/Oishii go for jumping on board to help do this, and looking after the night with awesome MC work, awesome bar work and just helping with ideas. We could not have done it without them.

Check out our blog for more of a wrap up and photos.

15/08/2008 3degrees fundraiser
We're angry at what we're all doing to the planet (hello China). But instead of dwelling on it, we're doing something. 3degrees is launching with a fundraiser at Falls Creek Australia, where we're aiming to raise $1000 and sink 33.33 tonnes of carbon. We're running a green theme, so best green costume = prize. There's a gold coin donation on entry which gets you entry into the door prizes, or you can pay $5 on entry for a 3degrees wristband and get entry to the board raffle ($5 raffle ticket, or 3 for $10).

Everyone's favourite Tom, DJ Thomas the Terror (Pollard) is going to cut some wax and we're going to cut some sick dance manouevres. We'll have cheap drinks and lots of rad stuff including an apres rail jam/drinkies from 4-6PM outside Silverski. So you better check it out at here >.

Please note if you're not at the fundraiser, you'll not be eligible for the board.

05/08/2008 Greening Australia
We have decided to support Greening Australia through their carbon abatement program - Breathe Easy. This means our financial support will be directed into critically important environmental projects. Furthermore, we even get to volunteer and get our hands dirty, so we stay tuned for a Heresy "Get Hands Dirty Day" to coincide with a spring volunteer day run by GA.

29/07/2008 Anti-whaling update
So far, we have raised just over $500 for Sea Shepherd in their fight against whaling - this is an awesome effort by everyone who has supported this initiative. We're not resting there though; we want to raise more - so please keep the support up.

30/06/2008 Anti-whaling merch, Saving snowboarding
So, now we've sacked (not really, but we sure put the scare into them) our sales guys for underestimating the response to the anti-whaling tee, we've got new merch coming in this Friday July 4. We've expanded our range to include hooded jumpers (in black and kelly green), girls singlets (in black) and a new tee style for girls; a baby rib, more form hugging tee with a lower neck line and cap sleeves. Photos will be on the store Friday July 4.

And now; 3degrees. Go check our 3degrees page for more information on how we're helping to save snowboarding (and skiing).

15/06/2008 Anti-whaling tees
Seems as though the boffins in our marketing deptartment underestimated the response to the anti-whaling tees. We are completely sold out in the space of one week. We have ordered new supplies including an expansion of the girls range, and unisex hooded jumpers. So far we have raised around $450 for Sea Shepherd; thank you to everyone who has supported this effort so far. Stay tuned for more news, or join the Heresy Snowboarding
Facebook Group or our mailing list to receive further updates.

31/05/2008 New NSW Rep, new stock, whaling tees
We have a new NSW AU rep, his name is Josh and he's pretty rad. Josh climbs mountains then looks at the mountain and goes "what, is that it?". Josh also takes super good photos and shreds the snow. We like Josh; he has a rad outlook on life. That's why he's onboard - and he loves Heresy. So for all stock enquiries in NSW, particularly Sydney and Jindabyne, get Josh on joshc - at - heresysnowboarding.com.

Yes, our anti-whaling tees are nearly done; we should have them June 6, and will be taking them to Hotham where we will be spending the weekend cataloguing all the new stock and getting it on the store - lucky there is no snow. You will have to get in fast as these are selling quickly. Remember profits are going to Sea Shepherd.

As well as the anti-whaling tees, we have full production quantities of all the standard range coming in; so the Pattern Logo, Guild Logo (shield), Heart on Sleeve, Mid Logo, Organic, Heresy Logotype gear is all coming in on all stock guys and girls. We have additionally had a lot of girls baby rib singlets done and have a special limited edition 2008 Guild of Powder Assassins print. This will be a big metallic shield printed on black hoods and tees in gold and on white tees in silver. This will be strictly limited in numbers.

18/05/2008 Help save whales
We've never been just about making money. We care. We want to make a difference. Whaling must stop. We will be donating all profits from these tees to Sea Shepherd. Go to our
blog or to our Facebook page to read more about why we're doing this and when the tees will be available (around 3 weeks).

15/12/2007 New website and logo launched
Here it is. The fruit of some very hard (and generous work) and brainstorming. Our new logo, and website. Have a look at the logo and think about Heresy and what we do, and why we do it. We think the new image is reflective of this

Some incredible work and thinking has gone into this by Jason and his crew at Messy; thanks Jase.

Stay tuned for more and more content as more people come on board to help, and take Heresy where we truly want it to go.

Eventually, and soon, our store will be fully integrated into the site (for now, the store link links back to the current store) so you can check the latest catalogue and if you want to get anything, you can buy it then and there without going to a separate store.

Additionally, we will finally have the means to bring our fellow riders into the company the way we always wanted. This means a php forum where you can submit designs for consideration for inclusion in our range, enter design competitions that we will run, give us feedback on areas you think we can improve or on things you'd like to see us do. This will help us truly become a company by snowboarders, for snowboarders.
